Famous Flames is a series of archival photographs Hendrickson created by photographing a wooden match, as it was lit. He uses some color filters over the lens on several of these, but much of the colors are from using different types of matches. Varying the shutter speed, along with some movement of the match, creates a fantastically colorful series of unique shapes.
